Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade Review

Is it worth all the hype? Yes
I totally jumped on the brow pomade bandwagon way too late, but once I finally got my hands on it - I was super excited to give it a go!

I'm not a huge brow fan, so the way I do my brows may not be as defined or done to perfection as some MUAs, but I just wanted to share with you my take on this no.1 brow product. My brows are naturally very dark and the hairs are thick, so sometimes using shadow isn't enough (unless I use black eyeshadow which ends up looking quite unnatural). I felt like I was ready to step up my brow game and use something gel based.

One of the main reason why I purchased the brow pomade is because it's water-resistant - exactly what I need for my brides. Being under bright lights all day and dancing all night during the reception party- we need our brows to stay put! I used shade 'chocolate' and a M.A.C. Cosmetics brush 266 to apply it. This brush is also my favourite to apply gel eye liner if you want that smooth defined feline flick! I used the tiniest amount to my brush and began applying it mid-brow (avoiding the inner parts where hairs are more sparse). I then used a matte brown shadow and lightly brushed it on the inner parts. Since I was able to create a smooth line in one go (without going over it) I didn't feel like I even needed to apply concealer to go around the brow to define it even more.
I am planning to make a brow tutorial using the pomade to show how easy it is to use, so stay tuned!

Overall, I love this product. I'm not sure if I would use it on a daily basis, but in terms of what is best for my brides- it is exactly what I need. The only 'negative' I would say is that the pomade is quite thick in texture, so try to work with a small amount at a time otherwise your brow will look patchy and uneven once it dries.
