Glitter glitter glitter!

A lot of people are afraid of glitter, but I just cant understand why! Maybe its because most of my clientele tend to be Asian, and if you know anything about Asian weddings, its glitter galore!! Thats one of the reasons why I especially love getting Asian clients ready.. I don't need to hold back and I can be super creative with my work

So I thought its about time I blogged about my recent purchase of Star Crushed Minerals loose glitter. I feel like theres a big craze of glitter recently and I'm seeing so many new brands popping up on my IG with some amazing sparkly glitter shades! I came across SCM and I looooved their choice of colours, and with 50% online orders- I couldn't resist! They were working out $3/4 each which is like £2!! So I took advantage of the offer and bought eight alongside the glue.

I've used M.A.C. loose glitter in the past, and as much as love them and they last for years, they just don't have enough choice of colours.
I am often asked by clients what is the best way to stick loose glitter onto the eyes.. I have used Kryolan glitter glue in the past which has worked pretty well but I do find it quite thick at times. I would say the best way to apply glitter is to put a very thin layer of glue on the lid first and then use your fingers to dab onto the lid and just keep layering it.

I went for a coppery/gold eye make up look in the picture as I really wanted to try the glitter that really caught my eyes - 'Mirage'. Its like a cross between a coppery red and blue.. so unusual!

I have absolutely fallen in love with these glitters, and I can't believe how easy it is to use with their fantastic glue. The glue is quite runny which is better when dealing with anything loose as it means it dries on the skin faster. I kept this make up on the whole day and I didn't get any fall out which is a big plus!!

Just a couple of negatives:

- The pots are so tiny, they wouldn't last as long as the M.A.C. glitters
- The lids of the pots aren't very secure and they keep unscrewing on their own- HUGE problem if you pick up your make up bag one day and theres glitter EVERYWHERE. Not sure what to do about this, but I will work it out!
Overall, Star Crushed Minerals loose glitter is definitely something I would recommend to make up artists as well as clients.. just have fun with them and add a little sparkle even with your everyday make up!
