The Highlighter Battle (Yellow Powder)

I'm reviewing two of the most popular (powder) highlighting products. Ben Nye Banana Powder Vs Anastasia Beverly Hills Banana Powder which is part of their Contour Kit. These two beauties are often compared to each other - so here is my take on it. For those who don't quite know or understand what 'highlighters' are- here it is in a nutshell:
It's attracts light, creating the illusion of brightness and height. This makes the skin appear more youthful and healthy-looking. Best places to apply the highlighter to accentuate and brighten parts of your face are commonly the upper cheekbones, under eye area, centre of forehead, bridge of nose and on the brow bones.

BEN NYE

When I bought this about a year ago I was super excited seeing as it was THE highlighting powder at the time, and if Kim K uses- surely it must be amazing right?!
✅ I feel like this product is never going to end, no matter how many times I've spilt it or wasted some because it's a bit of a struggle to put it back in the bottle once its shaken out into the lid- there's just still so much of it 1 yr later!
✅ point - I think I only paid £11 for it and I still have 3/4 left- boom!
🚫 As much as I love this powder and the type of effect it gives to the face, I really do feel like I have to use it excessively in order to get that 'highlighted' look. I'm currently using it as a face powder instead.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS

I was so excited when the contour kit finally arrived! I have to say, I'm in LOVE with the whole kit, the highlighting and contour colours are all top quality and it does exactly what I want it to do.
✅ Seeing as the yellow powder was just part of the kit, I didn't really think I was going to be impressed with it all. But WOWEEE this stuff is great!Just a couple of brush strokes instantly brightens my highlighted areas. I felt like I needed to use a lot less than the Ben Nye for an even better effect. I'm so happy I don't have to use separate products to highlight and contour, because everything I want is in one palette.
🚫 Price point- it's a little on the expensive side. I paid nearly £50 for the kit, and I think each refill it's £15.
